　　The Emei Township is surrounded by the hills and mountains, amount the beautiful sights, the magnificent and extensive view of Emei Lake is the most attractive landscape in the town. The place was originally named “Yuemei” which came from a curved crescent moon shape of the Emei stream, later on the name had been changed to “Emei”.
　　The Emei Township is still maintaining their rural livelihood with simpleness and honesty ; the rice paddy by the side of the river and the tea plantation, fruit garden on the massif is what they have been relying on for these years.
　　Following by the join of World Trade Organization, Taiwan’s Farmer Association has come forward to cooperate with the farmers along with the youth to open up another opportunity for their hometown agricultural.
